Our Story

Hey!

I’m Jeremy, owner and operator of My Small Town Apparel. I am married to my incredible wife, Sarah, and am a father to two busy kids. Before being in the t-shirt business, I was an electrician, while Sarah was at home running her business, The Top Tees, and keeping the kids. When I began spending my evenings helping her out in our basement office, I stepped away from electric work and made our growing business my main job. Soon, the whole process was too big for our basement and in 2019 we were able to move our equipment and materials to a nearby warehouse in Shandon, Ohio. This little town quickly became a source of community and growth.

Shortly after the move, we were approached by the school district PTO and asked to create a storefront where families could purchase spirit wear. So in 2020 we opened the attached warehouse storefront and began printing and selling clothes for the Ross district. This opportunity really established us as a local business and more people were learning about us all the time. Everyone loves a good shirt that means something to them—for business, humor, personality, etc.—and our community could now see an avenue for their self-expression. I began to regularly get the question, “So do you do custom orders?”

Since then, I’ve had the pleasure to print for dentists, boy scout troops, contractors, school events, church groups, and other small businesses in need of work shirts. I love building relationships with each customer I work with—hearing what they do, why they do it, and working with them to find the vision for their custom project. Each printing job is a new opportunity to help someone express themselves or represent their business.

As such an important expression, it is also important that the quality of the product speaks for the person or business. Our screen printing press allows for large orders while still letting us apply careful attention to detail that makes each shirt professional and clean. We also don’t sell what we wouldn’t wear, so our shirts are carefully chosen to be comfortable and livable with top-of-
the-line blends and threads.

Sarah and I began the t-shirt journey in 2017 as a creative outlet for her. Since then, I’m proud to see how we’ve grown our businesses from the ground up. Even so, we couldn’t do this without our community. I chose the name because of the love I have for the Ross/Shandon communities. The small size creates a close-knit group that looks out for one another and makes Shandon a place I feel I can truly call mine, hence “My Small Town.”

My Small Town Apparel is a small town business built for our community here while serving customers everywhere. We look forward to adding to it every day by helping you express yourself or your business with a custom order.
